Dressed To Win

Don't be a spiritual streaker. By that, I mean don't leave home without being dressed spiritually. In Ephesians 6:11-17 God tells us the way to dress for spiritual success. His strategy is this: Before you even get out of bed in the morning, start lining up your spiritual battle clothing-the whole armor of God.

First, put on the helmet of salvation and confess: "I have the mind of Christ, and He gives me His wisdom and revelation to deal with every issue as it comes." 
Second, put on the breastplate of righteousness and confess: "I am in right standing with the Father through the blood of Jesus Christ." 
Third, gird yourself with the truth and confess: "I will not accept the lies of the enemy. I will speak the truth, which is the Word of God." 
Fourth, put on the shoes of the Gospel of Peace and pray: "Lord Jesus, lead me so that I will bring peace, fellowship, joy, and understanding to the situations with which I'm dealing."
Fifth, hold up your shield of faith that's built upon the Word of God to fend off the enemy's fiery darts that come against you. Every time you read God's Word or sit under the teaching of the Word, your shield of faith grows bigger. 
Sixth, take the sword of the Spirit, which is the only offensive weapon you wear. The other pieces of armor are designed to protect you, but with this weapon you can fight the enemy. Let the sword of the Spirit-the Word of God be in your mouth continually. God's Word is a powerful offensive weapon you can use to defeat satan. Don't leave home without being dressed to win!

I am clothed with the whole armor of God; therefore, I can overcome every strategy of satan.
